In April 2011, I accepted a sports writer position with Northwest Arkansas Newspapers, LLC, which prints daily as part of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s (the state’s largest paper) Northwest Arkansas Edition (Think of how The New York Times has both a national and NYC edition). In September 2011, I also started writing a popular weekly column.

Generally, I cover high school sports for Northwest Arkansas Newspapers, with a focus on Springdale Har-Ber, one of the best football programs in Class 7A. I also assist on coverage of the local Minor League Baseball team, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals — Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. During the season, I’ll cover one-to-two games a week.

My stories also run, on average, a few times a week in the state-wide edition of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the 38th-largest paper in the country. I also help with ADG special sections.

You’re welcome to follow our high school sports blog at www.ARPreps.com.

Since both NWAOnline.com and ArkansasOnline.com require subscriptions to read most stories, I am not legally allowed to link free copies of these clippings. If you would like a copy, please contact me directly and I will get you one.
